Omaku is the living embodiment of rage and hatred. From the outset of the story, he viciously annihilates everything and everyone in his path. He is in pursuit of a being called the Valura - which in the culture of his people, the Taldaren, is the ender of all things.

Omaku is a highly skilled assassin, extremely cunning and horrifyingly powerful, and it would appear that his current target is Anea. If that is true, she is in grave danger. 

Oddly enough, he was once a hero, honor-bound to defend his home and his people from evil. Now, he seems to be a different person altogether, blinded by madness and vengeance. What could have happened to turn this once honorable hero into such a monster?
