ODIN
AGE: 153 | HEIGHT: 7’1” | RACE: BARGURAN | ORIGIN: UNKNOWN
Throughout the recent history of the Barguran culture, one figure stands as a constant figure - for good or ill - Lord Odin. He is the fundamentalist leader of the Barguran people who holds to the old ways of their people. His towering, powerful stature adds to his imposing presence coupled with his controversial disciplinary acts grants him an unspoken respect among the Barguran - especially those who value the classic teachings of *Bahren-Guura.
Odin has a group of enforcers he has dubbed “The Eyes of Odin”. Many of them travel with him from region to region ensuring the safety and well-being of the Barguran - so long as they honor the old ways. Those Barguran who have strayed from the initial teachings of Bahren-Guura are not recognized by Odin or his followers, and thus the Eyes of Odin will not offer aid in any situation.
One such situation transpired five years ago, in the mining town of Wendros. Gallandier, older brother to Odin, ended the internal fighting amongst the Yangsho Clan and reunited them to be the defense for the small mining town. Odin felt that the ideals Gallandier needed to adopt to unite the Barguran of the Yangsho were too progressive, and he turned his back on his brother. Shortly thereafter, Gallandier died defending the area from bandits. Odin found it unfathomable that his brother could have been defeated by a mere rabble of bandits, then rumors of a young mercenary from the old empire abandoning his brother reached Odin. This caused a deep hatred for humans to begin to fester within him, a hatred he harbors still.
